My name is Sara and welcome to Heartfall.   \ud83d\udda4\ud83d\udda4\ud83d\udda4\ud83d\udda4 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heartfall is a small, pet nursery set against the breathtaking natural beauty of the rolling foothills of the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas.  We are a best-kept secret that offers a treasure trove of natural forests, mountains, caves, rivers, hot springs, and as well as the only active diamond mine in the US open to the public.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

From an early age, I have fostered a deep bond with animals and dreamed of becoming a veterinarian.  To that end, I\u2019ve had a menagerie of pets over the years that included: a miniature donkey, Tennessee Walking Horse, baby raccoon, fish, birds (Lovebirds & Budgies), cows (Herefords), dairy goats (Saanen), dogs (Shetland Sheepdogs) and cats (domestic and pedigreed).  While my career goals shifted away from veterinary medicine when I entered high school, I never outgrew my love of animals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My passion for Siberians began when I adopted a DLH named Marie in 1997, which led me to search for a breed of cat with similar characteristics.  There were a handful of choices including Ragdolls and Maine Coons but ultimately, I wanted a breed that had minimal health issues.  Siberian Cats ticked every box and came in a host of colors from traditional to colorpoint.  They are one of the healthiest, most diverse breeds with foundation cats still being added to the registry.  In early 2000, I chose IndigoMoon for my cattery name and acquired four adults to begin my program.  We imported new bloodlines from Canada, the Netherlands, and Russia, and traded cats with a handful of breeders here in the United States.  In 2007, I decided to retire from breeding to finish my undergraduate degree.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In early spring (2022), as I was finishing up my master\u2019s degree, I began to muse about the next chapter.  While I\u2019ve always had hobbies nothing was as fulfilling as breeding Siberian Cats.  As I considered a reboot, I came across the name Heartfall<\/strong> which means taking a leap of faith with your heart.  I can\u2019t think of a better way to sum up what it means to fall in love with Siberian Cats and so with this in my mind, Heartfall Siberians<\/strong> was born. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since that time, I have been actively working to rebuild my program by importing a boy from Poland:   Kubaland*PL Rimini <\/strong>(silver classic) and we have added two girls from Gremlineva in February 2024 (see our cats<\/a> page).  Paramount to building a robust breeding program, my goals center on four tenets:  health, temperament, type, and longevity.  I am a member of the Siberian Cat Health Association<\/a> where all tests and scans are tracked inside the SCHA database<\/a>.  I\u2019m actively working with breeders overseas and domestically who believe in breed preservation, and genetic diversity, and making educated breeding decisions based on research, best practices, and advanced screening protocols.  My program has always focused on producing top-tier kittens that conform to the Siberian breed standard (TICA\/CFA).   <\/p>\n\n\n\n
